A Little R & R

A quick post to let you all know that our mom is busy all week working and we are pretty much on our own. We both have decided to take the time and enjoy some leisure time at the beach. You are probably thinking that R&R means rest and relaxation but we must let you know that is partially true, you can add rum and Reuniti wine to that too. We will need all the rest we can get so we will be ready to party for Karl & Ruis's marriage on May 30th.

Please feel to join us on the beach and relax along with us. Keep in touch with us as we will miss hearing from you.

We might be visiting around with Sassy and Momo.

The Indy 500

Our thoughts always to turn to Indianapolis during Memorial weekend. Even though we were born on a farm, we were raised in Indy. Nothing like the buzz of race cars zipping around the Speedway Track during the month of May; it is almost enough to make an old cat homesick.

A BIG thank you to our friends at Zoolatry,
who made this wonderful photo of us back home again in Indiana.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Thank You for Coming

Thanks to everyone who came by to wish our friends, Karl and Ruis, a happy wedding! We hope you all had as much as we did!

We think we are going to spend the day here at the beach, just resting and relaxing. We hope you will join us for a quiet day of sun bathing.

To Ruis and Karl,
you guys are the best buddies a cat can have! We are so happy to be your friends and honored to stand up for you at your wedding next week.

Everyone enjoy the day on the beach and we will see you at the WEDDING OF THE YEAR!

Love,
Opus and Rosoce; the Bestest Men

PS. Who on earth is going to clean up this mess????

HUUUUUUMAN!!!! Where ARE you??????

Aloha!

Welcome to
Ruis and Karl's
Hawaiian Bachelor
Party Luau
and Lizard Roast!

We are Opus and Roscoe, your hosts for the day. As Karl and Ruis's bestmen, we couldn't let them get married without throwing them one heck of a bachelor party! We hope you going to have as much fun as we will! Feel free to use any of the photos you find on our blog today. If there is anything we can get for you, please just ask. Come on in and make yourselves comfortable. As you can see, some of the other guests are already here. As you enter, be sure to pick up a lei from Ruis's brothers, Gucci and Buzzar.

Karl and Ruis are already inside receiving guests.

Roscoe's Tiki Bar is open and Roscoe is ready to prepare any kind of tropical drink you can imagine. Don't worry about the little ones, as Roscoe makes wonderful virgin pinacoladas!

Emil has been hard at work, slaving over the BBQ pit since early this morning. The roast lizard is almost ready to be served.

Please have a seat and enjoy the terrific menu which has been carefully prepared for you today.

We have an assortment of gourmet Island food......

the tropical drinks are flowing.......

Before we eat, we would like to say a few words. Just yesterday our friend, Bonnie Underfoot, passed away unexpectedly. We are deeply sadden by the loss of our friend and would like her family to know that they are in thoughts and prayers. We would like to take a moment to remember Bonnie and also Ruis's sister, Miral, and Karl's sister, Anastasia; all who have journeyed over the rainbow.

We want them to know that they are loved and missed. It helps to know that they are with us today in spirit and deep within our hearts. Play the video below, in memory of all of our loved ones who have gone over the rainbow bridge....

Gone, but not forgotten....

What better way to remember them than by celebrating life?

Time to eat! During our meal the The Catgrass Hula Dancers (Mrs. Oz, Momo, Charlotte, Asta, Sassy, and Baby Mao) will be performing for your entertainment

Also for your entertainment, Roscoe will be trying his paw at fire throwing. Please step back and someone grab a fire extinguisher.

For dessert our pastry chef, Sassy, has made a wonderful tray of delicious cup cakes. The cup cakes remind us someone we know.....

After our meal, there will be plenty of actives offered to our guests. If you are interested in learning how to surf, Ruis's family will be down by the seaside with a surf instructor and plenty of boards.

So head on down to the beach and "hang ten"!

This evening Ruis and Karl invite you to join them and their families down at the water's edge. There Gucci will perform the many songs he has learned in ukulele class.

And speaking of the beach, Dragonheart will be hosting a beach volleyball tournament this afternoon for anyone who is interested in a little friendly competition.

Volleyball not your style? No worries as there are many other great activities planed. Maybe you would like to join Socks, Charlotte and Adan for a fun game of limbo?

At 4pm in the jacuzzi, Buzzer and Asta will be teaching any interested kitties how to do the doggy paddle

Or perhaps, after such a big lunch you will want to find the perfect spot to cozy up with a friend or a loved one and just take it easy.....

And enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

Just let us know if you need anything and please....

...enjoy yourselves and stay as long as you like.

In Loving Memory

"As long we we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on-in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here".

-Morris S. Schwartz

We are shocked and deeply sadden to learn that our friend, Bonnie Underfoot passed away unexpectedly. All of a sudden, hula parties and missing vans seem so unimportant. We wish we could give her family something to make them feel better: flowers, a card, a hug, ANYTHING. But we know that the only thing that can help is time.

Victor and Bonnie were one of the first cat bloggers we ever met when we started blogging some years ago. Their link has been sitting on our side bar ever since and though we hadn't been in touch as often as we would have liked, something inside told us to stop by their place to say hi on Tuesday night. We are so thankful that we did.

They were a cute pair of cats, she was known to be a bit bossy while he liked to tease and joke. They were a brother and a sister who fought, and loved, as only brothers and sisters can.

We chose to post this photo of Bonnie because it we feel it sums up Bonnie and Victor best. One day Bonnie was being humiliated by having to wear a pink "earring". When she asked her brother to help her get it off, he pointed and laughed. We both know what it is like to have a pesky brother.

Bonnie will missed by many. May the warm memories of her help her family and friends through the difficult times ahead.

Come One, Come All

As part of our duties as best men, we are throwing a HUGE bachelor party for Karl and Ruis THIS Friday at our blog. It will be an open house, so you can drop by whenever you feel like it. It is going to be a luau, complete with a lizard roast. So throw on your leis and grass skirts, and be sure to stop by here this Friday!

In other news, our missing van has been spotted in the UK but there is no further information about its disappearance.

News

We have had some very exciting news. As many of you know our dear friends, Karl and Ruis, will tying the knot this month. We have been so excited and happy them. They are both sweet, kind, thoughtful (and handsome) cats who deserve each other. We had hoped that we would be invited to the wedding of the year, but they really surprised us. Not only have we been invited to the wedding, but we have been asked to be their best men! We are thrilled beyond words and so honored that they would chose us to stand by their sides on such an important day.

Roscoe has already dusted off his orange tuxedo and has been wearing his Spock ears in anticipation of the big day. I have a feeling the wedding will be a little more dignified than what Roscoe has in mind. I believe those Spock ears (and orange tuxedo) will have to "come up missing". If only I could get Ros to take them off for a moment!

In other news, our flying van is STILL missing. Though reports are coming in that is has been spotted in the Netherlands. Ruis sent us a photo of our beloved van in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately, by the time the local authorities arrived on the scene the van had disappeared! Pets around the world, keep your eyes out and let us know if you have spotted our precious van!

APB: The Magic Van Has Been Stolen!

Opus is having a hissy fit (literally)! He went out to the garage this morning, only find our magic, flying, van had been stolen in the night! Who could have crept into our garage, under the cover of darkness, and stolen our pride and joy???? Oh my goodness, how will we ever get to visit our friends again???? How will we EVER get to go on adventures without our beloved flying van????

Just as we were making "Missing Van" posters, we spotted it on TV! No one knows who these guys are or how they managed to steal our van, but please watch the video below. Perhaps you may recognise them! Maybe someone you know might know who they are! We are really worried about what might happen if these humans figure out that our van can fly!

Please help us catch these scoundrels and get our flying van back!

-Roscoe

Sailing the Seas

Opus and I were invited to join our friends for a "small cruise" around the Blogosphere to visit our friends. Not ones to stay close to home, we jumped at the chance to have yet another adventure with our buddies.

The day started with a picnic and catnap in a butterfly garden. The weather was perfect for catching up with our friends while soaking up the sun.

When lunch was over we piled into the Hijinx and hit the friendly seas.

Our first stop was in Florida to visit our friends Maggie and Zoey from the Zoolatry. The beautiful sisters were waiting for us on the dock with a basket full of wine, cheese, and other snacks.

Once our visit with the girls from Zoolatry was over, we piled back into the Hijinx.

From here we will go to visit our friends; Samantha and Tigger, Daisy and Debra's kitties (Abby, Boo, Jinx, Ping and Gracie).
