As many of you know, my human dumped me when she went back to America to visit her famiy for six weeks! She must have felt guilty about leaving me at home without the MFV or the computer because she brought me back this beautifully wrapped gift.
I couldn't imagine what was inside! And I couldn't help but think of Roscoe when I saw the box was wrapped with pink paper (he would have loved it)! I tore into it at once with pink ribbon flying everywhere!
And do you what I found inside staring at me?????
A new cat! While the human was in the States, she met and fell in love with a tiny, little female, calico cat that she found at the local animal shelter. The poor thing had been living there for three weeks when my human found her! She is a tiny thing, half the size of me, and is seven years old.
So I would like to introduce you to my little sister "the-cat-formally-known-as-Patches". The humans didn't really care for her name and, since she doesn't seem to know it anyway, have decided to rename her. The two wining choices are "Amelia" pronounced "Ah-meh-lee-ah" in Italian OR Olive (the color of her eyes).
Which name do you like?

Oh that is a lovely gift to bring home a little companion. I think both names are lovely but I am partial to Amelia.
Oh Opus!! We are so excited for you!! (We are doing our Happy dance!) We love the name Olive, but Amelia is beautiful, too!! We just know you will be the best of furiends!! Well!!!! We guess we can forgive the Mom for being gone so long!!
Your FL furiends,
and Maverick
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal! What a great surprise for you. We like the sound of Opus & Olive, but Amalia is pretty too. But however did your human get a 7 year old cat into Italy? Is there a quarantine period?
Are you happy to have a sister? Are you getting along? We are happy for all of you, even though we know you will always miss your brother Roscoe.
Hmmm, why not combine the two names...Olivia? That would sound bella in Italian!
Your pals,
Petey and Mica
Congrats on the new kitty!!! she is so cute =) I know you're going to love your little calico as much as I love mine. How is everyone adjusting?
We just knew it was a cat, a little older then we thought as we guessed a kitten. But she is lovely and we thinks the two of you will become good friends.
We are so glad your Mommy gave her a home. It's so sad when older cats lose their families as it's so hard for them to find new ones. We are so happy that she found a GREAT one.
We likes the name Amelia. One Amelia Peabody is one of our favourite fictional characters and two we thinks it's full of southern charm. ~Socks, Scylla, Charybdis & Fenris
Welcome Olive the new calico kid in the family.
Congrats Opus on the new beautiful sister, Olive.
Hello Double O!
The name Olive is perfect for her!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH. I was right but I didn't really believe your human would bring another kittie all that way.
I say welcome to Amelia, that was mum's gramma's name!
When is the welcome party?
I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU FINALY GOT TO OPEN YOUR PRESENT. I THINK YOUR PRESENT IS PERFECT!!!!!!!! I know when you two get to know each other better and the little one gets over with the jet lag you will have lots of fun. I can hardly wait until the next adventure and she can come along with me.
Since I got used to the name Olive, and so did moth our vote is for OLIVE!!!!!!!!
Opus and Olive sounds really cute together.
ps: Both names are cutel, whichever one you choose will be fine here!!!!
Oh, how cute! We love the little kitty - Olive is a nice name and we like 'Opus and Olive', but Amelia is a nice name too. Whatever she is called, we're sure that you guys will enjoy hanging out together before too long.

Deb and I are in love. She is beautiful.
We vote for Olive....
but, why not Amelia Olive????
What wonderful news. Welcome to the new little kitty. We love the name Olive. Mom knows a lovey lady called Olive who is profoundly deaf and adores cats - so it seems a good choice.
PS: we think Roscoe would approve. He wouldn't want you to be lonely, until you meet again.
she does have the most bee-u-ti-full eyes! we thinks olive should be her name.
y2k
Hmmm we love both names, but we like Olive- because it's original- and we've met many kittehs named Amelia- but none named Olive!
I still remember Roscoe. You two are very pretty and have patches on your noses. I would prefer Olivia to Olive and Amelia is nice also. Hope you have a nice Easter weekend. I am sure you missed your mum while she was gone.
oh she's BEAUTIFUL!!! we like Amelia!!!! Olive is a purrty name too, but we likes Amelia
Oh wow! Poor Opus, sisfurs drive ya crazy. hehe Just kiddin. That's way cool. Now you'll have company even when the humans run off! Woo hoo!

Ohhh, how lovely for you to have a new sister, Opus. Are you getting on well together? Would love to hear the whole story of how she made the trip to Italy!
Happy Easter to all of you.
She is lovely Opus. We like Amelia best and we think Olivia sounds more feminine than Olive.
She is beautiful! We likes the name Olive for the color of her eyes.
Awww she is a beauooootiful sister. I like Olive and Amelia.
We are glad she found her furrever home with you.
Oh my gosh! We are so excited for you!!! Are you excited for you? I hope so. She is so pretty. Wow, that is a tough thing chosing a name. My beans haven't even started deciding on one for the impending blurpy thing.

I like the name Amelia but you could call her by both names I suppose. Olive colored eyes are beautiful. William, another blogging cat, has a calico sister and she came from a shelter and is tiny also.
Congratulations on your new sister, Opus! She is beautiful. I am partial to Amelia as a name for her. I hope you are getting along well.
What a lovely surprise for you!!!! I guessed right - a sibling!! Congrats!!!!
Olive - Ollie!!!! That's my vote.
Hope you get on well with each other.
What fantastic news, Opus!! We know you've been very lonely and now you have a new sister. That's great.
We think since your name starts with the letter "O", Olive would be a natural choice for this new beauty's name.
Welcome, Opus's new sister. You've found a wonderful forever home.
What a beautiful kitty. We like Amelia for her name.
