Here we are in front of the church of Saint Mark's.
Just around the corner from the church is "The Bridge of Sighs". This bridge connects the prison to the Doge's Palace, where prisoners were tried for their crimes. According to legend, after being found guilty the prisoners would cross the bridge to return to their cells and sigh while taking one last look at the Venetian lagoon before being locked away in the damp prison.
Our last stop was at the famous Rialto bridge.
This bridge is packed with all kinds of shops,
from jewelery stores to tourist junk.

We didn't have time to shop, after snapping one last group photoit was off the carnival!

Oh so much fun, so little time. I wish we were back in Venice. Hey, maybe we won't have to wait until next year for carnival. How about a visit just touring the city, ya two could be out guides, maybe go in the fall when it isn't too hot? Ya two are the greatest!!

Valentine's Day is almost here! Will be over early, so much to do! I have the cruise clothes all packed and over to Momo's, will be a fun Love Cruise. All and invited!! Be sure to stop over to my place before ya go anywhere cause I have Valentine's gifts for all.

No wonder the tourists were staring. I heard a couple of them were staring so hard and they didn't see where they were going and fall into the canal!
