In Loving Memory

"As long we we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on-in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here".

-Morris S. Schwartz

We are shocked and deeply sadden to learn that our friend, Bonnie Underfoot passed away unexpectedly. All of a sudden, hula parties and missing vans seem so unimportant. We wish we could give her family something to make them feel better: flowers, a card, a hug, ANYTHING. But we know that the only thing that can help is time.

Victor and Bonnie were one of the first cat bloggers we ever met when we started blogging some years ago. Their link has been sitting on our side bar ever since and though we hadn't been in touch as often as we would have liked, something inside told us to stop by their place to say hi on Tuesday night. We are so thankful that we did.

They were a cute pair of cats, she was known to be a bit bossy while he liked to tease and joke. They were a brother and a sister who fought, and loved, as only brothers and sisters can.

We chose to post this photo of Bonnie because it we feel it sums up Bonnie and Victor best. One day Bonnie was being humiliated by having to wear a pink "earring". When she asked her brother to help her get it off, he pointed and laughed. We both know what it is like to have a pesky brother.

Bonnie will missed by many. May the warm memories of her help her family and friends through the difficult times ahead.

We just heard the terrible news too.
Time will help - the pain stays forever.... poor Victor, poor humans... yes, one wishes one could do something to make it better but we haven't found anything yet.

Yes, I couldn't believe it when JFF told me the bad news this morning. I was only at their blog yesterday and left purrs for Bonnie because Victor said she was not feeling well, but I thought it was only a small ailment a nd not something that would send her to the Bridge.

Thank you for your kind words and tribute. You picked a great picture to demonstrate the relationship Bonnie and Victor had. The out-pouring of support from the cat blogosphere has been amazing. We're sure Bonnie is happily bossing around everyone at the Rainbow Bridge. Thanks so much, friends!
